A Bit About Me
Hi, I’m Dashiki, an artist and creator from Orlando, Florida. My journey with painting took off in 2019 when I started creating consistently, but my love for art has always been part of my life—from winning coloring contests as a kid to using painting as a creative outlet growing up.
Initially, I started OüS as an apparel brand, brought to life with the support of my university's entrepreneur lab. Over time, my passion for visual art grew, and I found myself diving deeper into painting as a way to express the subconscious corners of my mind.
Although I’ve never taken a formal art class, I see art as a reflection of life’s imperfections. As a self-proclaimed perfectionist, I embrace the idea of being "imperfectly perfect," which has become our brand motto. Through my art, I’m reminded that flaws are what make people and things unique and beautiful.
My work is inspired by the world around me: modern art, architecture, pop art, graffiti, cartoons, and pop culture. I also create music under my artist name, Elisiax, blending sound and visuals as part of my creative journey.
My dream is simple: to create for a living and to stay inspired by our beautiful world and the talented creatives who shape it.
